The Soul of Get Back
Fritz, a talented musician with a vibrant history in the music scene, first captured the hearts of audiences in the late 1960s as a member of the beloved group The Bantams (Google "Fritz Bantam"). Along with his two brothers, known for their catchy tunes and infectious energy, The Bantams carved out a significant niche in the era’s music landscape, appearing on television shows like “Where the Action Is”, “Shindig”, and “9th Street West” alongside musical acts Simon and Garfunkel, Chuck Berry, and the Byrds, to name a few. They also appeared in movies, notably starring in the cult classic, “ You’ve Got to Be Smart”.
As the maracas player and singer of the trio, Fritz quickly showcased his versatility and passion for music by transitioning to the bass guitar, bringing depth and groove to the band’s sound. After The Bantams grew older, Fritz continued to nurture his love for music. They embarked on a national tour and eventually returned to California, where they headlined many well-known clubs in the Southern California area. In 1981, at Gazzari's on the Sunset Strip, Fritz met his wife, Janine.
